WPTS-Redirector is a wordpress theme functioning same as its name, it redirects.   ;-)

Background

I make this theme after hours of hours finding the right redirection script for use to branding my ebay store.  I’ve found link cloaker, free link cloaker, maxblog press ninja affiliates, wp-marketeer, and much more.  But all did not satisfy and make me “feel safe”.

I want a redirects which can sent 301 or 302 http header status while all the above using somewhat I can’t understand.  Beside, some of them are not free!  :-(
Some I’m sure is using meta refresh redirects which is not SEO friendly.

Why I make this theme is also, we can use other WordPress plugin such as Google XML sitemap to make sitemap all your links.  This is very usefull if you run an ebay store.  YES!  That’s why I made this theme.  It’s for my ebay store.  The redirects status is 301 permanent redirect, the good thing (I guess so…) I can easily make a sitemap with all links and it will look like a real store and easily can cloak any link to my ebay store and earn referral credits.  I hope so.  :-)

 

 

 Usage

Here are some idea on how you can use this theme.

  • Redirects to your ebay store.
  • Cloak your affiliates links.

Or anything to do with redirection.

 

Installation

 

  1. Download latest version of WPTS-Redirector.
  2. Extract the .zip file.
  3. Upload the folder wpts-redirector to your wordpress theme directory.

 

This theme is only suitable for fresh install wordpress.

You can use subdomain too.

 

 

How To Use

  1. Make a new post or page.
  2. Fill in the title of the post/page so the permalink will look beautiful.
    You can also edit how the link look like by clicking the Edit button under the title text area.
  3. Copy the title and paste in the post area. (Optional)
  4.  Scroll down to Custom Fields area.
  5. Click Enter New to add the custom field for the first time.
    After this, you can easily select it from the drop down menu.
  6. Now add RedirectUrl301 to the name field of the custom field.
    Please note the capital     R and U.
  7. Put the destination link in the value field.
  8. Click Publish.
  9. DONE!

 

 

Other Thought

Install Google XML Sitemap Generator plugin and generate sitemap for your site and submit it to Google Webmaster Tools and let’s see what happen.
The sitemap is easy for you to find the links too.  ;-)
